In case there was any doubt that I can’t not swear, here you are.
During the month of February I tallied myself cursing 86 times. These of course just represent the times I actually caught myself, or others were nice enough to point out; I suspect the real number was much higher – for which my pocketbook will undoubtedly breathe a sigh of relief.
That being said, in a way I have come to think of February as my substitute for lent (which has since begun) and now will get to gloat while all my other friends try to give something up equally as challenging.
Besides that, there is also a great satisfaction that comes from knowing that this tithe will go towards help out those who genuinely need it and can use it, where as I would have probably spent it on something frivilous – like gin.
…Maybe I should give up booze for March!
